Seed Swap

At every meeting there will be a table set up with packets of interesting seeds to try. If you would like a packet of seeds simply bring along a few of your own unwanted seeds to swap as we are keen to build a small stock. There will be plenty of small envelopes for your seeds if you do not but please try to have as much details about the seeds eg names and variety and when they were collected so that people know what they will be growing.

Homes for Unwanted Plants

As gardeners we all have plants, seedlings or bulbs that we don't need so we are setting up a mechanism to provide your excess plants with new homes - where you will be confident that they will be loved and nurtured.

Just bring along your spare plants, seedlings or bulbs to one of our meetings and make them available to fellow gardeners. Anyone who wants to give a plant a new home will be asked to make a small donation to society funds. However, if your plant is still there at the end of the meeting please do ensure you take it back as we have no means of storing them!

Member Gardens - Wine and Wander

There is a £3 entry fee and you will be able to look at different styles of private gardens at different stages of development with a complimentary glass of wine or fruit juice to smooth your walk! This is only available for members of the society and their partners so for details please consult your membership annual or look out for our emailed newsletter. Don't forget to bring your current membership card on the day.
